Recommended Trailer Brake Controller For 2012 Suzuki Equator W/ Factory Tow Package Plug Cut Off
Question:
I purchased a used Suzuki Equator with the factory tow package. The previous owner at one point had a break controlled installed but has since been removed. Rather unplug the controller the wires were cut and taped off. Do you sell the factory connector for my vehicle? Thanks

I have another option for you, but the factory trailer brake controller connector is not something we sell. Your local Suzuki dealer may have one available, but if not there is another way.
You can still install the Tekonsha PowerTrac Electronic Brake Controller - 1 to 2 Axles - Time Delayed # 39523 by using the pigtail wiring harness # 20127 and heat shrink butt connectors # DW05744-5.
You will need to use a circuit tester like # PTW2993 to confirm the functions of the 4 wires that were cut, and match them to the pigtail wires which have the following functions:
White wire is the ground
Blue wire is the brake output
Red wire is the brake signal wire that gets connected to the cold side of stoplight switch that only has power when the brake pedal is pressed
Black wire is the 12v power
I included a video of the # 39523 being installed for you to take a look at.
