Which 16000lb 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch For 2017 Ford F-250 6-3/4' Bed W/ Husky Rails
Question:
Hello, I currently have a Andersen hitch set up for my fifth wheel. I would like to switch to a standard fifth wheel hitch. The rails for the Anderson are Husky Towing Products rails marked 05DH16. I would like to know what fifth wheel hitch head units will fit these rails? I am towing with a 2017 F250 6-3/4 bed. I would need a 16K hitch. Thanks

I may have an option for you, but the number you mentioned did not cross reference to any 5th wheel rails.
It is likely that the Husky 5th wheel rails you have are industry standard rails since they are being used with a different brand hitch, and you can check by measuring your rails and comparing them to the included diagram of industry standard rails.
Assuming that you have industry standard rails on your 2017 Ford F-250 with the 6-3/4' bed there are quite a few 5th wheel hitch options, but I recommend the Reese 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Square Tube Slider - Dual Jaw - 16,000 lbs # RP30051 which has the built in slider you will need for towing a 5th wheel trailer with a short bed truck. The dual jaw design gives superior king pin contact for a more secure and smoother ride.
If you find you do not have industry standard rails your best option is to go ahead and replace your current rails using # RP56017-53 which are confirmed to fit your truck, and will give you the most flexibility for which hitch can be used now and in the future.
I included videos for both of the products mentioned for you to take a look at.
