Fifth Wheel Trailer Gooseneck Adapter for a 2008 Dodge Ram 2500 Mega Cab with Mopar Gooseneck Hitch
Question:
Will the Curt X5 Fifth wheel adapter fit my 2008 Dodge 2500 Megacab with the Mopar Gooseneck in bed hitch? I believe it is made by Draw-Tite.

First, take a look at how your gooseneck hitch is installed. If it is welded to the frame of your truck then it was put there by the frame manufacturer and it will be next to impossible to determine who made the hitch. If it is bolted to the frame then that would make it a dealer option and you would need to contact the dealer to determine the brand unless you can find any part numbers or identifying marks on the hitch anywhere.
The Curt X5, # 16310, is designed for B and W square shank turnover ball hitches and would not fit if the hitch is indeed a Draw-Tite. The Other X5, # C16210, is designed to work with almost any 5th-wheel hitch that has capacity of 20,000 lbs or less: Curt, Draw-Tite, Hidden Hitch, Reese, Valley and Husky.
