Do The Running Lights Still Stay On When Turn Signals Are Activated On LED Tailgate Strip?
Question:
No one explains details, just shows pictures. When brake light or taillight are on, do they go off on opposite side when turn signals are activated? Want taillight and brake light to continue to function on opposite side of turn signal function.

Expert Reply:
LED trailer light kits for tailgates, such as The Universal LED Tailgate Fire Strip TLB-001 you were looking at or the Putco Red Blade LED kit # P92010-48, do in fact continue to power the circuit you have illuminated (such as running lights), while also illuminating the secondary circuit such as brakes or turn signals . In other words, you can have the running lights turned on and then engage the truck's brake lights which will illuminate that brake light on the LED strip, while still illuminating the running light section of the light strip. It works the same way with the turn signals; if you have the running lights on then you can use your turn signal and it will still illuminate the running light section. When a properly working 4 way plug is connected to this strip, it will function just as a trailer light setup.
