I have a Ram Promaster 3500 van in which I want to monitor the tires. No trailer, just the van. Do I need to install the booster to have the system work?

The TST TPMS for RVs part # TST-507-FT-4-C that you was basically designed to always use the signal booster that comes with it so I would have to recommend you use it for your setup.
