Can 725 lbs Tongue Weight Be Used with Reese Weight Distribution # RE44FR
Question:
I purchased the RE44FR in anticipation of moving up in trailer capacity. I had the 6000lb reese WDH Kit in use on a lighter trailer and have since upped the Trailer size and weight. My actual tongue weight for new trailer loaded is 725lbs. using a tongue weight scale. Will the RE44FR be to tight and cause problems? Is it possible to purchase only the bars for an 8,000lb. WDH kit?

Helpful Expert Reply:
The Reese weight distribution system # RE44FR that you referenced has a tongue weight range of 600-1,150 lbs which means your tongue weight of 725 lbs would work perfectly. This would work great for your current trailer and if you plan to upgrade in the future it gives you room to grow as well.
