Comparing The Pace Edwards Switchblade To The Pace Edwards JackRabbit Tonneau Cover

Question:

Looking at the switchblade and the unit that locks every 12 inchs. Switchblade says it is easy to remove and put back on, 10 minutes or so. The locking position unit looks the same but does not mention the easy to remove and reinstall part. Can I assume the locking unit is also easy to remove and reinstall? Are the two units the same except for the locking every 12 inch part?

It looks like you are referring to the Pace Edwards Switchblade Retractable Hard Tonneau Cover - Aluminum and Vinyl - Black # 311-SWFA19A45 and the Pace Edwards JackRabbit Retractable Hard Tonneau Cover - Aluminum and Vinyl - Matte Black # 311-M-JRFA19A45. These covers both offer a simple clamp-on installation process that can be accomplished with one person in around 10-30 minutes depending on personal experience. Both tonneau covers are black, manually retractable, and weather-resistant.

The only real difference between these covers is that the JackRabbit can lock at 12" intervals all along the rails, while the Switchblade cannot stay open or lock at 12" intervals. If this isn't a big deal to you then I would just go with the more affordable Switchblade cover. I personally think it is worth the extra few bucks to have the cover that locks every foot because it would be slightly more versatile and easy to use with various cargo loads. I attached a demonstration video for you.
