No Power to Curt Echo Brake Controller

Question:

I have a 2018 Lincoln Navigator with the factory 7 way and 4 way plug. I purchased the C51180 and can not get to work. It seems there is no.power going to it. The rest of the trailer lights work and I have added the trailer to the computer system, activated the tow haul in settings, and hooked the trailer to the vehicle. What am I missing? Im very disappointed in Curt as they didnt include the security strap and they were difficult to deal with. Any help would be appreciated or its going back.

Thank you for your purchase from etrailer of the Curt Echo Wireless Trailer Brake Controller # C51180.

I assume there are no lights at all showing, and I'm not sure what testing you have done but the first thing you will want to do is check out your Navigator's 12 volt pin and test it to be sure that power is getting through and that the connector isn't dirty or corroded, as that will hamper the signals from getting through. If it isn't getting through there may be a fuse that is missing or needs replacing as well.

Apart from that, if you have 12 volt power and the Echo is still not responding then the unit is defective and would need to be replaced.
