Replacement A/C For 7000 Series RVP

Question:

I am trying to replace my current a/cs. I have a 98, 36foot pace arrow, with a 30a 120v feed. There are what I believe are 2 7000series RVP units run by a intellitec electronic climate control. My question is, do I need a dual zone, or two a/cs? I want the best cooling I can get, with my power. Individual units seem like they would pull too much. Help please.

A properly installed Zone system will have temperature sensors within each A/C Zone...ie, a sensor in the bedroom and a sensor in the living room of the motorhome which allows the setting of different target temperatures but from the same thermostat location. The individual sensors detect the ambient temperature responding to the set points and adjust the individual A/C units as needed. The advantage or disadvantage is personal choice, if in operation, they will draw the same amount of energy. For your application of a 1998 system and being that the RVP 7000 series is no longer manufactured, I would select to install a completely new system.

The easiest and most direct replacement will be the Furrion Chill HE RV Air Conditioner System - Manual - 15,000 Btu - White # FR92PR. This AC unit is for ducted or ductless systems and lets you replace or add or replace an AC to your RV. The dual fans move cool air efficiently and have the included Air distribution box that features a convenient, built-in thermostat to control the fan and temperature settings.

If you prefer to have a single thermostat location in which to set temperature of each unit then I suggest the Furrion Chill HE RV Air Conditioner System - Mutli Zone - 15,000 Btu - LED - White # FR67FJ.
