Troubleshooting Trailer Brakes That Hum But 2019 Ford F-350 Gives Trailer Not Connected Error
Question:
I have a 2020 Gator Made gooseneck. Only one of my brake magnetics are humming. Ive tested them for power and and they all are getting power. I keep getting the trailer disconnected warning inside the truck. And ideas?

An easy way to figure out what the culprit here is to connect another braked trailer to the truck; if you're getting the same errors on the factory brake controller regardless of the trailer then the issue is on the vehicle. If the issue is only with one trailer then you'll know to focus on that.
If the issue is on the trailer, it's possible that the magnets on that one side have either gone bad or there is a wiring issue; you'll want to inspect the wiring and the ground on the side that isn't humming. You could be getting power but a bad ground would keep them from operating properly.
If you can let me know what those tests reveal we can continue to troubleshoot this issue.
