A lot of the nerf bars are going to be the same, but the installation kit may differ. It really depends on exactly which kit you are referring to. Feel free to provide the kit you are looking at and I will do my best to verify fitment.

For reference, Westin Molded Running Boards w/ Custom Installation Kit - 6" Wide - Black # 27-0010-1015 and Westin Molded, Lighted Running Boards w/ Custom Installation Kit - 6" Wide - Black # 27-0015-1015 are two kits that are confirmed to fit both the 1992 C/K 1500 extended cab and the 1998 Yukon 4 door.
