Can Tekonsha Prodigy P3 90195 Be Installed In 2008 GMC Sierra W/ Factory 7-way Connector?

Question:

On the application chart my 2008 gmc new style is not listed. I do have the factory 7 pin receptacle. Can you give me a part number for the appropriate brake controller? Also does that plug directly into the relay box located to the left under the dashboard? Thanks

The Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195 you were looking at is a fantastic choice for your 2008 GMC Sierra, but GM did not add a factory trailer brake controller port in your vehicle.

Since you have the factory 7-way connector you will find 4 wires taped up right next to the relay box you mentioned underneath the dash of your vehicle.

You will need to use the included butt connectors and pigtail wiring harness to connect this controller directly to your factory wiring.
