Can Furrion Tankless Water Heater Replace Atwood AT94022

Question:

AT94022. You show a Furrion RV Tankless Water Heater - Gas - Automatic Pilot - 60,000 BTU Item # FR93FR as an In Stock Alternative. Can you provide any insight into any difficulties I could encounter in this conversion? I would be replacing the present Atwood water heater mentioned above which is installed in a 2009 NUWA Hitchhiker Fifth Wheel. Thank you in advance for any assistance you can provide.

You can replace the Atwood RV Water Heater AT94022 with the Furrion RV Tankless Water Heater # FR93FR, so long as you have the needed space. According to the instructions, which I have linked for you below, this Furrion unit simply requires the opening to be 12-5/8” tall, 12-13/16” wide, and at least 23-1/2" deep.

The Atwood # AT94022 measures 16" tall, 15-1/2" wide, and 20-7/8" deep, so it is taller and wider, so you should have the space; the Atwood also uses a 17-3/4" tall x 18" wide door, so the correct door for use with the # FR93FR is the 18" x 18" Access Door # FR73FR.

The Access Door # FR73FR and Water Heater # FR93FR combined is the Furrion RV Tankless Water Heater - Gas - Automatic Pilot - 60,000 BTU - 18" x 18" Door # FR68SR.

Apart from having the space, there is no issue at all with going from a water heat with a tank to a tankless heater; it is becoming increasingly common due to the much greater efficiency of the tankless heaters. I do have to say mention that any install should be performed by a qualified professional installer. I have added links below to video reviews for you to check out as well.
