If your mountain bikes exceed 35 pounds per bike, the best option is a hitch bike rack. For your 2010 Prius, the Draw-Tite Sportframe Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class I - 1-1/4" # 24847 will give you the weight capacity you need for the appropriate hitch rack. As for the rack, the Swagman Chinook Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches # S64683 will give you 10 extra pounds of weight per bike (45 pounds) and will take the same Thule Bike Adapter Bar # TH982XT if you have step-through bikes, dual-suspension bikes, or small children's bikes.
