Troubleshooting P2 Brake Controller 90885 Not Powering Up on a 2013 Honda Pilot

Question:

i recently bought this adapter and the prodigy P2 and am attempting to install it but i am not getting any power to the unit. My dealer added the 7 way plug to the Pilot the week we bought it so it did not come from already installed. I found what i believe to be the correct plug on the left side of the dash close to the parking brake and hooked it up but i do not get power to the brake controller when i start the vehicle. Any ideas? I do not see any other open plugs. Also i tested the P2 in my other vehicle that already is wired and the P2 worked as expected. Thanks.

It sounds like you are missing the fuse in your smaller, secondary under-hood fuse box that powers the brake controller. I checked in a manual for a 2012 Honda Pilot, and it was the number 14 fuse labeled Trailer E-Brake. It should be close if not identical in your 2013 model. There should be a diagram on the underside of the fuse box cover you can use to verify this.
