Recommended Winch To Replace Damaged 2500lb JIF Marine Winch On Boat Trailer

Question:

I have a 2500lb winch currently, which may be a little light for my boat and steep ramps. the drum on it accommodates a 2 1/2” strap. It is a 2 speed winch with brake. I’m thinking it’s a JIF from looking at pictures. It is worn and I can’t seem to find replacement parts. So what winch do you have that has a 2 1/2” strap and has replaceable parts. Thanks

I have a solution for you, but at this time we do not offer any hand winches that use a 2-1/2" wide strap.

Instead, I recommend going with the 2-Speed Boat Trailer Winch with 20' Strap and Brake - 3,200 lbs
Item # 315-W3200D which includes a new 20' x 2" strap. The # 315-W3200D has a 3200lb weight capacity which will allow you to pull up your boat a little easier, and also has a high and low speed to give you additional mechanical advantage if needed.
