All Trailer Lights Blink With Turn Signal on 2007 Triton ATV Trailer

Question:

I have a 2007 triton atv trailer. When Im using my signal ALL the light blink very dim. I cant find where the ground is attached to the trailer. It should be near the front of the trailer. All the wires are ran thru a aluminum tube. I really dont want to tear into this. I would like any advice for this problem.

The fact that you have an aluminum trailer could be the problem. Aluminum does not make for a good ground. What I recommend is to located the ground wires at the backs of the lights and attach jumpers from the grounds to the main trailer connector ground. This is a common issue with aluminum frames, tilt trailers, and trailers with folding tongues.

Also check the towing vehicle and trailer connectors for dirt and corrosion. Corrosion could cause a short or even a bad ground as well.

The worst case scenario would be to replace the wiring on the trailer with new wiring. To make it easier you could leave the existing wiring inside the frame, disconnect the lights, and run the new wiring outside the frame.
