Yes, a blade fan can be used in an RV. It is the fitment, diameter and height that is important. A 5 blade fan is considered to run more quietly than 4 blades. We carry the 42" RV Ceiling Fan with Light Kit in Oil Rubbed Bronze, # 277-000115. This is a 42" 5-blade ceiling fan with light kit. It measures, from top of mounting base where it attaches to the ceiling to the bottom of the glass, a length of 14-3/4 inches.
