Is the Malone Kayak Carrier - Foam Block Style Good for Transporting a Kayak?
Question:
I would like to know if this is a good option for my Kayak. I bought cross bars I attached to the factory roof rack. 10 ft sit on Kayak. Then Im not sure how to attach the kayak once on the foam blocks. The cross bars are CargoLoc 2 piece 52inch Aluminum. Thank you

The Malone Kayak Carrier with Tie-Downs - Foam Block Style # MPG154 is a good option for transporting a single kayak. The carrier fits round, square, aero, elliptical, and most factory crossbars. Here are the steps of installation once the foam blocks are attached on the crossbars:
1. Toss the straps over the top of the kayak so that the ends of the straps can be tied to the two rails
2. You will most likely need to wrap the straps around the rails a few times to create tension
3. Put the end of the straps through the included metal buckle and pull taught
4. For the bow and stern tie downs, place the hooks to a safe place in the back and the front of the vehicle and attach the other end to the connection points on the kayak.
I will go ahead and link a video of the installation of the carrier with a kayak to the bottom of this response.
