I spoke with my contact at Pop&Lock, who tells me that the most frequently encountered cause for the problem you're experiencing is a binding actuator spring. On the actuator itself, there's a rubber boot. If you slide the boot away from the actuator, you'll be able to see the spring. be sure that spring is moving freely back and forth. You might need to rotate the spring a bit by hand to free it up.
If this fails to solve the problem, Pop&Lock would like you to contact them directly at 800-342-5911. We prefer to handle this sort of issue ourselves, but this will be quicker and easier to handle speaking with them directly.
