Slide Toper For 2020 Sierra 321RL

Question:

Need to determine correct size topper for living/dining slide. Flange to flange edge measurement is 141 1/2 inches. For that size it indicates V000177334 but your info also says if not 7 inches on each side for mounting to go down in size. There is only about 3 inches of space on one side of slide flange due to the awning that is mounted close to slide. Other side is not an issue.

Ideally when you put a slide topper on, you would have a couple inches of overhang on the right and left sides. However, in your case, there just is not room for that. To have a slide topper you will have to buy one that is a little smaller than your slide. This means that instead of having a topper that is a couple inches bigger on each side - you will have a topper that is a couple inches too small on both sides. Most RV'ers will say that a slightly smaller topper is far better than no topper at all.

Since your slide, at it's widest point, measured to the outside of the flange/t-molding, is 141.5 inches, I am going to recommend the Solera # LCV000184673 Slide Out Awning (in black) where the fabric only measures 133" wide. After the hardware is attached to the ends of the roll you should have clearance away from your regular awning.

If you prefer the same awning in white, order # LCV000163295. When attaching the awning rail to the trailer side wall it is recommended that you use the RTC # 362BT-18x1-50 butyl tape to seal screw holes
