The clicking sound you are hearing when engaging the manual override on your Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90885 is the controller shutting itself off due to detecting a short.
I recommend engaging the manual override without the trailer connected. If you still get the clicking then you know the short is between the 7-way connector and the trailer brake controller and you will want to check the blue trailer brake output wire for any damage. If all the wiring is good then cut the blue wire from the back of the # 90885 at least 6" from the controller and try again. If you are still getting the clicking there is a short inside of the # 90885 and it will need to be replaced. If doing this made the click go away there is a short in the blue output wire and it will need to be replaced, or you will need to find the damaged section and replace that section.
Now on the other hand if you do not get the clicking without the trailer connected, but do with the trailer connected the short is in the brake wiring of the trailer, so you will need to inspect all of the wiring for damage are replace as necessary.
