Recommended Cushioned Equalizer Upgrade for Travel Trailer
Question:
Hello, I have a 2019 Apex Nano 208bhs and I’m looking to upgrade to the Lippert Road Armor equalizer and bushings. I measured the OEM equalizers bolt holes at 5 3/4” across oc and 2 1/2” tall. Could you recommend a Road Armor setup or would you recommend the EquaFlex instead. Thanks!

The best route to go would be to choose the system whose dimensions most closely match the existing equalizer you have. Changing the equalizer size would mean you'll need to change the length of the shackle links used, or you'll throw off the geometry of your suspension system that can lead to problems like uneven tire wear and handling issues.
Because their 5-1/2 inch width and 2-1/2 dimensions come so close to your existing equalizer, I can highly recommend the Lippert Equa-Flex, part # LC279687. The rubber bumpers on the equalizers will significantly improve the ride quality of your travel trailer by reducing chucking (front to back movement) and road shock. The Equa-Flex cushioned equalizers feature long-lasting bronze bushings that are preinstalled.
If you click the provided link, you can see my buddy Conner installing the Equa-Flex system.
