Will the SportRack Vista XL Cargo Box # SR7018 Fit on a 2012 Nissan Armada

I spoke with my contact at SportRack and she told me that the Vista XL Cargo Box, # SR7018, will fit on your 2012 Nissan Armada if it has the factory roof rack with crossbars that run side to side. This cargo carrier does include the mounting hardware to attach the cargo box to crossbars.

Another factor to consider when mounting a cargo box on your roof is rear hatch clearance. The back end of the Vista XL cargo box extends approximately 13 inches past the rear crossbar. If you have a factory roof rack and your crossbars are adjustable, I recommend moving your crossbars as far forward as possible so your rear hatch does not hit the cargo box when opened.

If your vehicle does not have the factory crossbars that run side to side, then you will need to add crossbars to install this cargo box. To add crossbars to your vehicle, I recommend the Thule SquareBar Roof Rack which consists of two 53 inch square crossbars, # TH712400, and the Evo raised rail feet, # TH710401. These crossbars can be moved forward along the side rails to create additional rear hatch clearance.
