Can 12V From Trailer Connector to Camper Be Disconnected if Redarc 331-BCDC1240D Charger is Used

Question:

This is a 2018 Ford F-350 truck and an Arctic Fox 990 truck camper I have a question concerning the current umbilical cord running from the truck to the camper. This cord is used to supply a charge to the camper batteries, running lights, turn signals and brake lights. It is a 6 pin connector and one of the pins supplies 12 V to charge the campers batteries. Should I disconnect the 12 v power lead from this cord since it will no longer be needed since the REDARC will be charging the battery or does it not matter? Thanks.

It doesn't really matter, but I'd probably go ahead and disconnect that 12-volt feed from the trailer connector on the campeer side because it won't be needed. It'd just be a loose end that you'd need to worry about.

I've linked to a product video for the Redarc # 331-BCDC1240D charger.
