Go Power Solar Panel Controller PLUS Inverter

Question:

First of all your video is outstanding. The best of many Ive watched. Thank you. Can I use the system with one battery and an invertor to just power a very low amp 110V fan or other device? What keeps the system from charging the vehicle battery also which may reduce the charge to my RV battery? If I connect my invertor to my RV 110V system should there be a cut off between the two systems if I plug into campground 110V power?

The Go Power # 34276119 is a controller that goes between solar panels and your RV battery to provide the correct voltage to charge them. This system stays connected to your RV batteries at all times, including when you are connected to shore power. When you are not connected to shore power you can connect an inverter to your batteries to provide 120 volts of AC power to operate a few things like a fan.

If you don't have roof panels I would suggest the Go Power # 34282610 portable 200-watt system that easily connects directly to your RV battery, and can be easily moved to other RV's as needed. Check out the video that I have linked below.

Either way, you will then need an inverter, connected to the battery, to produce 120V-AC. if you are running non-electronic items like fans, lights, or such then a "modified" sine wave inverter is fine. However, if you are connecting electronics like phones, computer, TV's and such, then you will want a "pure" sine wave inverter. You could use the Go Power # 34282691 200 watt inverter, or the Go Power # 34282692 400 watt inverter.

By the way, when you get to camp, disconnect your trailer from the truck, otherwise your systems will draw power off of your truck battery potentially leaving you with a dead battery.
