Availability of Bike Rack to Fit on Rear of 2010 Keystone Sprinter and Clear the Spare Tire
Question:
Ready to purchase the S64152-2 bike rack and the UF35-946401 bolt on receiver. I want to make sure it clears my spare tire that is 12inch from bumper. I would also like to see a women's bike in this rack. And last, will the bolt on receiver be sturdy enough to handle the bikes? 2010 Keystone Sprinter travel trailer 4 black bumper

The Ultra-Fab Motor Home Trailer Hitch Receiver, part # UF35-946402, will fit on a 4-inch RV bumper. It has a weight capacity of 200 lbs, but you will also want to verify the weight capacity of your bumper. If the capacity of the bumper is lower than 200 lbs, you will need to use that capacity as your guideline.
The Swagman 3 Bike Rack, part # S64152-2, is designed for use on the rear of a RV or motor home. It will have a weight capacity of 105 lbs for three bikes. Again, if the bumper capacity is lower you would use the lowest weight capacity as the guideline.
You will need to measure on your vehicle to determine if this bike rack will clear your spare tire. The hitch pin hole on the Ultra-Fab hitch is located in the center of the receiver. When it is installed on your RV bumper the hitch pin hole will be located in the center of the bumper. You will want to measure on the bottom of your bumper, from the center of the bumper out towards the farthest edge of the spare tire. If that measurement is less than 15 inches the bike rack would clear the spare tire.
The only other bike rack that might work on your RV bumper is the Swagman RV Bumper 2 Bike Rack, part # S80501, This will only hold 2 bikes, but it is designed to provide 12 inches of clearance for a spare tire on the rear of a RV.
For a womens bike on a hanging bike rack I would recommend to use the Swagman Bike Adapter, part # 64005. This adapter would span the distance from the seat post to the handlebar gooseneck, providing a level attachment point to the bike rack.
I am including a link to the installation instructions on both RV bike racks.
