Installing a Brake Controller on 2008 Dodge Ram Without Factory 7-Way
Question:
Hi, will I need to run the black and white wire from the back connector as well? or just the blue one to the white connector by the pedal? Thanks a lot!

We have a great video(linked below) that covers what you are doing by installing a Brake Controller # 90195 into a 2008 Dodge Ram 1500 that doesn't have a factory connector.
The blue wire from the brake control pigtail will need to be ran all the way to the 7-way. The white is the ground which can be ran to a nearby ground post and the black is your 12v positive wire that will need ran to the fuse panel and tied into a 12v power source that is on when your ignition is on.
I recommend using the Universal 7-way Kit # ETBC7 for installing your 7-way on the Ram. It gives you the necessary circuit breakers and wiring for running your wiring to the front of your Ram.
