Dimensions of Rhino Rack Aero Crossbar Channels and Mounting Hardware

Question:

Can you provide me with the specs on the parts that fit in the internal channel of the bars? For instance if I have a custom mount what is the internal width/height of the channel? It appears most factory accessories have a threaded plate and what else ed into the channel? Star washers? s

The dimensions of the top T-channel in Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero Crossbars like # RRVA126B-2 measure 0.25 inches deep x 0.86 inches wide inside the channel. The top of the channel measures 0.43 inches wide.

As for the hardware that installs in to the channel, those vary in size. What is important is just that they fit into the channel and can be tightened down. A good example of some mounting hardware is the Eye Bolt Kit for Rhino-Rack Pioneer Platform Rack # RR43178. The length is 2.36 inches. The width is .77 inches. The depth is .39 inches. The diameter of the threaded eyelet shank is .375 or 3/8 inch. You can see how the eye bolt uses the small washer, then the large washer above the channel, inside the channel is the channel block and then a star washer.
