Replacement Trailer Brakes with Parking Brake
Question:
Hello I am looking to replace my Dexter electric brakes with parts number K23-462-00 and K23-463-00. The trailer has two axles and the only difference I have noticed is the rear axle has a wire rope which feeds into the brake drum, that is activated when the park brake is applied. My question is do I need a different part for the rear axle to the front one. All the components appear to be the same size brake pads and drums

I have a set of Dexter electric brakes that will fit your trailer with parking brakes # K23-086-087-00, however they are rated for 3,500 lbs. This is a right and left side kit. Deciding on this kit will be determined how much you tow on your trailer. The # K23-086-087-00 provides parking brakes.
For the front axle you can use # 23-468-469 which is also a pair for left and right assemblies.
