Brake Controller 12V Input Switch on 2018 Jeep Wrangler JL
Question:
I was considering using the RM-751490 as the wires that go to the brake light switch are difficult to reach. on my 2018 Wrangler JL But my jeeps wiring diagram shows the output from the break switch to increase as you push the pedal. isnt the RM-751490 just an on off switch. Doesnt the P3 need a voltage that increases as you press the pedal? please send me the manual and video mentioned if this is a good solution.

The Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195 only needs to see a 12V power coming from switch activation. It has an internal inertia-based sensor that will sense the braking effort and relay that to the trailer.
The Roadmaster Stop Light Switch # RM-751490 is an option that can be used due to the location of the brake switch wiring on your 2018 Jeep Wrangler JL. It also won't require you to tap into the hard to reach circuit but instead you will run one wire a 12V positive and the 2nd wire to the brake controller input wire.
If you don't already have a 7-way, the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller # ETBC7 will be the kit you need.
