Recommended Trailer Hitch Receiver For 2008 Jayco Eagle 320RLDS With Brackets On Inside Of Frame

Question:

I have the same problem as Kevin trailer,it has a square tube welded inside of frame for the 4 in. Rear bumper so there’s NO room for them plates bend in the direction they are on the 13703. I know them small tubes are welded to give strength for the hitch tube ,put could the factory reverse the direction of plates so they fit on the OUTSIDE of frame and re weld the small tubes on the opposite side they are now. My trailer is a 2008 jayco 320rlds. Kevin is correct in what he was trying to say. Because the factory 4 in. Bumper support is welded where we need the plates to go.

Since there are supports on the inside of the frame that block where the brackets of the Adjustable Width Trailer Hitch Receiver for RVs, 22" to 72" Wide # 13703 need to attach, the best option would be to use the Curt RV Bumper 2" Trailer Hitch Receiver # E-100 which will mount to the 4" bumper your 2008 Jayco Eagle 320RLDS has.

I do not recommend cutting off any factory supports to allow clearance for the hitch to fit.

I included videos for each of the products mentioned for you to take a look at.
