Weight Distribution Shank with 6 Inch Drop for a Pro Series System on a 2003 Toyota Tundra TRD

Question:

I ordered the Pro Series Weight Distribution System w Friction Sway Control - Round - 10,000 lbs GTW, 1,000 lbs TW PS49903, but the shank does not drop far enough for my 2003 Toyota Tundra Limited 4WD with TRD Offroad package. I require a shank with about a 6inch drop effectively ~3.5inch to the top of the ball on the weight distro system. I am towing a 7K lb gross trailer. What replacement shank would you recommend? Would any manufacturer work?

I recommend using Reese shank # RP63971 which will give you up to a 6-1/2 inch drop when used with the round bars in the Pro Series weight distribution system # PS49583. A compatible shank that is exactly 6 inches is not available. Some manufacturers can use each others shanks but not all. The Reese shank will be the best option.
