Recommended Gooseneck Hitch To 5th Wheel Trailer Adapter For Short Bed Truck

1 do you have a OFFSET gooseneck adapter to make this work in a short bed truck with a fuel tank . 2 could the hitch base tubes be cut shorter towards the cab side of the bed?

I have another option for you, but there is not a version of the Hi-Rise Gooseneck-to-5th-Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter by Bulldog, Draw-Tite and Reese # 9480 that is offset for a short bed truck, and I do not recommend cutting the legs on the cab side of hitch as they are what keeps the hitch stable, and will void the warranty of the hitch.

Instead I recommend going with the Ranch Hitch Universal 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Coupler Adapter w/8" Offset for Short-Bed Trucks # AM3139 which will allow you to hook up your 5th wheel trailer to your gooseneck hitch, and has 8" offset designed specifically for short bed trucks. You will need the Slide Hammer for Ranch Hitch 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Coupler Adapter # AM3103 to get the coupler installed.

The # AM3139 will work as long as the pin box on your trailer is not a cushioned, or air ride version.
