Parts Needed to Install 7-Way Trailer Harness on 2021 Hyundai Palisade
Question:
Hello, I am looking for a solution that would allow me to use a 7 pin connection on my 2021 Hyundai Palisade. The vehicle comes pre wired for a 7 pin connection, so I would not require any additional wires to be run from the battery or other areas of the engine compartment to the rear of the vehicle, all 7 wires are already there waiting to be used. What I would need is a 7 pin wiring harness to take it the last 1.5 feet to the hitch. Can you please provide me with recommendations?

We have an easy way to install a 7-way on your 2021 Hyundai Palisade but the factory trailer wiring port you have at the rear of your vehicle only has 4-way connectors that fit it directly. So you'd need to first install a 4-way to that connector with the part # CU94FR and then use the 4-way to 7-way adapter part # 37185 to convert it to a 7-way.
If the plan was to install the Curt Echo Mobile brake controller you'd instead need the # ETBC7L over the # 37185 which comes with the same 7-way adapter but also the correct wiring needed to activate the 7-way enough for the controller.
