Recommended Parts for Towing Camper Equipped With a 7-Way Connector With 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan
Question:
Hi, first time travel trailer owner. We have a 2014 dodge grand caravan and will be towing a camper. The camper has a 7 pin connector, I wanted to ask what do we need to buy to connect it. I read so much informacion but Im confused about getting the 4 pin harness and then add the 7 pin connector, or if theres a 7 pin harness connector already. Also if we need any extras, like break controller, any other parts we may need, if you can send me a list I greatly appreciate it.

I'd be happy to shed some light on that for you.
Let's begin with a hitch, assuming you don't yet have one. I'd go with the Curt Class III # 13364 that you'd looked at.
For a connector i would go with the Curt T-Connector # C56331 for the 4-way connector.
And if your camper is equipped with brakes you will need a universal 7-way adapter # ETBC7. The Redarc Liberty # RED52VR is a great option. This particular kit comes with a universal wire harness.
You'll also need a ball mount like # C45336, a # PC3 hitch pin and for a trailer ball, use # A-90 for a 2 inch ball or # A-6 for a 2-5/16 inch ball.
I've linked to installation details and an install video for the hitch.
