These Glacier Mud Service Snow Tire Chains, part # TC2439, are compatible with the light truck tires on your 2008 Sprinter. These are a good choice for off-road use.
For strictly on-road applications you can use part # PWH2221SC, the Glacier Tire Chains for the 2008 Sprinter. These low-carbon steel twist-link chains tighten manually with included cams.
For either of the above chains, we recommend use of a rubber chain tension adjuster, part # PW99.
If you want chains with additional functionality such as built-in chain tension adjustment and rim protection, you might consider the Thule # TH02230K77 which includes these handy features.
I have also included a link to an article that explains the various types of tire chains available and their specific applications that might be helpful in your decision-making process.
You will first want to check your vehicle owners manual for any restrictions or guidance concerning use of tire chains. Your manual will indicate if any particular clearance dimension for tire chains is required for your vehicle.
