2008 Pleasureway Excel Suspension Enhancement Recommendations E-350 Van

Question:

2008 Pleasureway Excel on a Ford Econoline E350 Super Duty. Your opinion on the best product to reduce sway and wandering, causing constant steering corrections. It already had a Steer Safe system on the front end which I think is of minimal value. It has new Michelin road class E tires. Which of the following would be my best bet? 1 Heavy duty, front and rear sway bars. There is no sway bar on the back now. 2 Roadmaster Active Steering 3 Roadmaster Active Suspension 4 Other suggestions you may have. Part numbers would be nice so I could do some research.

If there is no anti-sway on the rear suspension then I would consider starting there, I suggest the Roadmaster Rear Anti-Sway Bar, # 1139-178 designed to work in conjunction with current suspension system, attaches to rear axle and to chassis uses weight of axle to brace frame as it shifts in turns. Engineered to avoid interference with most popular aftermarket add-ons and accessories. The bar dimeter is 1-1/2".

I would also consider the SuperSprings Custom Suspension Stabilizer and Sway Control Kit, # SSA34 for your 2008 Pleasureway Excel. Being a 2008 model with added weight of the class B conversion your vehicle, like almost every other out there, may be be prone to the suspension squat that occurs over time. Installing these helper leaf springs above your Ford Van's factory leaf springs will help significantly in prevent sagging. These are a fantastic upgrade, install and forget about them, they are not adjustable. However, if you want adjustable option then I suggest instead the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs - Double Convoluted - Rear Axle, # F2061.

For the front I suggest the Roadmaster Front Anti-Sway Bar, # RM-1139-115. This too is a confirmed fit for your 2008 E-350. This is constructed out of thick 4140 chromoly steel for superior strength, is 1-3/8" thick.
