We can get your 2013 Ford F-150 set up to tow a 5th wheel trailer with a Sidewinder like # RP34FR. You will need a fixed 5th wheel hitch that is compatible with a Sidewinder, and for that the option I really like is from Reese:
- Reese 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # RP30047
This Reese hitch has a 16,000 lb capacity, which is more than enough for your F-150, and I recommend it due to the value it gives you by combining quality and price. The hitch has a dual-jaw system which is going to provide a tight connection with the king pin to reduce play and minimize noise movement, and does so at a price that is much more economical than similar 5th wheel hitches. To ensure the proper fit with a Sidewinder, the other thing you will need is a wedge, the 5th Airborne Custom Wedge # SWW-03.
If you need base rails as well, the best option is also going to be from Reese because they don't require you to drill any holes into the frame of your truck, and the correct fit for your 2013 Ford F-150 is the following:
- Reese Quick-Install Custom Installation Kit With Base Rails for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches # RP50081-58
The only other thing you will need if you don't have one is a 5th wheel wiring harness, the Curt 5th Wheel/Gooseneck Custom Wiring Harness # C56070.
I have added some links below to video reviews for you to check out as well if you'd like to take a look.
