Solution For Carrying 1 Recumbent Trike And 1 Regular Bike On A 2018 VW Tiguan

Question:

Im looking for a bike rack that can handle: 1 - Recumbent Trike tadpole 1 - Normal Trek bicycle. I have a 2 inch hitch installed on my 2018 VW Tiguan. Thanks!

I have a possible solution for you, however, there is not a bike rack that can accommodate both a trike and a regular bike. That said, you can install a bike rack on the back of your vehicle for the Trek bike, such as Curt 2 Bike Platfrom Rack for 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Tilting # C18085. Then, you can use a roof-mounted carrier for the trike, part # 298-BD1005; this used suction cups to securely mount the trike (no more than 45lbs) to the roof.
