Trunk-Mounted 3 Bike Carrier For 2018 Volvo XC90

Question:

I am thinking about t getting the trunk rack for 3 bikes. Do you need to get adjusters for kid and women bikes? It seems to suggest that you do not? Also, what should I get to increase the security of the rack and bikes? Thanks!

While this bike rack typically works with most bikes without the need of an adapter bar, it is still common to need an adapter bar like # HRBA-PRO when transporting children's, step-thru, or full-suspension bikes. Some oddly-shaped frame designs to not mount correctly onto hanging-style bike racks such as this one, so I definitely recommend picking up an adapter bar to make sure your bike is secured tightly to the carrier; it also makes it easier to install or remove the bike from the carrier.

You do not need anything else to attach the carrier to your vehicle, although you could add etrailer Cable Lock - 10' Long # e98891 to keep your bikes locked to the carrier. You can also add Thule Passive Security Strap # TH533 which is a strong nylon covered steel cable that locks your bike rack the trunk of your vehicle.
