Will The Malone SeaWing Kayak Carrier Work With Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero Crossbars?

Question:

I have a Hyundai Elantra that currently has Rhino-rack Vortex Aero Crossbars. Will I be able to mount the Malone SeaWing Kayak Carrier and Load Assist - Clamp On Item # MPG113MD on these bars? Is this a good combination or are there alternatives I should consider. The kayak is 14 foot long and 29.5” wide. Thanks for your help.

Yes the Malone SeaWing Kayak Carrier and Load Assist w/ Tie-Downs - Rear Loading # MPG113MD will clamp onto your Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero Crossbars without an issue. The weight capacity is 75lbs for this kayak carrier. If your kayak happens to weigh over 75lbs then you can go with Malone SaddleUp Pro Kayak Carrier with Tie-Downs for Truck Racks - Saddle Style - Channel Mount # MPG1001. This carrier will mount onto the top track of the crossbars instead of clamping onto the crossbars. The Malone SaddleUp carrier has a weight capacity of 90lbs.
