Is Hitch Bike Rack for 2 inch Hitch Only More Stable than Option Fits 2 inch & 1-1/4 inch Hitch
Question:
Im still looking at bike racks for a 5th wheel trailer. I am not sure but I think I do not want a dual size receiver fitting. Wouldnt a 2 only be better than a 2 or 11/4 type bike rack? Also I like the tire cradle more than a steel oval drop in cradle. What is your opinion?

Some argue that a 2 inch hitch only option is more stable than a bike rack that fits a 1-1/4 inch and a 2 inch hitch but in our experience that isn't the case. The movement of the bike rack in the hitch typically comes from looser clearances between components of the rack and not flex in the main shank of the rack.
That said for a platform bike rack that is a confirmed fit for use at the rear of fifth wheel trailer and is very solid the Swagman E-Spec # S94FR would be a great option. It is 2 inch hitch only. I attached a review video for this rack at the rear of a camper as well.
