Recommended ST205/75R14 Tires To Replace Unevenly Worn Tires On Trailer

Question:

I want to replace my camper trailer tires. Bought unit used. 4 years old. Tread is uneven. Size is 205/75/R14. DOT R2PA, Load range C. My question is that correct load range. camper dry is 5300lbs. Adding material inside can either put it at the max load range can hold6280lbs or over it as camper is rated to be total weight of 6500lbs. Thoughts please.

For your camper I recommend sticking with the Load Range C tires and recommend the Provider ST205/75R14 Radial Trailer Tire - Load Range C # TR20514 as they have a load rating of 1760lbs at 50 PSI which gives you a total carrying capacity for 4 tires of just over 7000lbs which is plenty for your trailer with a GVWR of 6500lbs. Since you mentioned that your tires wore unevenly I recommend double checking that air pressure in the tires is at the max rating of 50 PSI occasionally, as trailer tires are designed to be used at the max air pressure and will wear uneven if they are not.
