Weight Distribution/Sway Control Recommended for 2018 Forest River Surveyor Travel Trailer
Question:
Hello: I have 2018 Forest River Surveyor travel trailer. I am wondering what type of sway pro weight distribution hitch should I get? Is it BXW0756 or higher?

The best starting point in figuring out which weight distribution system you need is to load up your trailer as you'd typically have it and determine the tongue weight at that point. Be sure to include the weight of anything carried in the tow vehicle behind the rear axle in that figure. I'll link to an article that explains a few ways of determining the trailer's tongue weight, but a tongue weight scale like the etrailer # e99044 would be the easiest method.
The Blue Ox # BXW0756 SwayPro weight distribution/Sway Control system you'd asked about is rated for trailers with fully loaded and ready to tow tongue weights ranging from 550-750 lbs. If the the tongue weight of your travel trailer falls into that range when you have it loaded up as you typically tow it, then the # BXW0756 Sway Pro would work well for you.
Forest River offers several different models of the Surveyor, after looking through several of them and looking at what they weigh, that SwayPro model would be right in the neighborhood of what you need. If you can reply with the specific model number of your travel trailer, I'll confirm for you.
I've linked to a video showing how the tongue weight/payload scale works.
