Recommended Electric Over Hydraulic Brake Actuator For Trailer With Disc Brakes
Question:
Hello, I have a Titan Model 10 Surge Actuator for disk brakes. I was looking to remove the surge based master cylinder and replace with an electronic over hydraulic actuator. Do you have a unit that is a direct fit for inside of the Model 10 tongue enclosure? Thank you

I have another option for you, but there is not a electric over hydraulic actuator that will fit inside of your Titan Model 10 Surge Brake Actuator. You will need to install the electric over hydraulic actuator somewhere else on your trailer.
For an electric over hydraulic actuator I recommend the HydraStar Electric Over Hydraulic Actuator for Disc Brakes - 1,600 psi # HBA16 which will work with the disc brakes you currently have on your trailer, but will allow you to control the braking of the trailer with a trailer brake controller instead of a surge brake actuator.
Keep in mind that you will need to lockout your Titan Model 10, or replace it with a standard coupler.
Lastly you will need to install a trailer brake controller in your tow vehicle that is compatible with electric over hydraulic brakes. I recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195 as it is an extremely reliable controller, is compatible with electric over hydraulic brakes, and has great features like an easy to read LCD screen, and built in diagnostics that are easy to read and understand.
If you can tell me the Year/Make/Model of your tow vehicle I would be happy to recommend everything you will need to get the # 90195 installed.
I included videos for both of the products mentioned for you to take a look at.
