Which Hitch-Mounted 2 Bike Platform Rack Should I Go With?

we are interested in a platform bike rack. we have a 2015 Sorento Kia. we want to see what you have and want to know if you have the following on display.....swag man 2 bike platform...Hollywood 2 bike .....saris freedom .....inno tire tilts. Please let me know if you have any of the racks on display.

In order to install a platform-style bike rack you will need to install a trailer hitch receiver if you do not already have one. I recommend the Etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Matte Black Finish - Class III - 2" # e98841 as this will work well for your application and it has the common 2" receiver opening which will allow many accessories to be mounted.

The Swagman XC2 Bike Rack for 2 bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches # S64650, Hollywood Racks Destination Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches # HLY94FR, Saris Freedom Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches # SA4412B, and Inno Tire Hold 2 Bike Platform Rack - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches # INH120 are all great options that will carry 2 bikes and can mount onto a 1-1/4" or a 2" hitch receiver.

The Swagman XC2 and Hollywood Racks Destination both have the lowest weight capacity at 35lbs per bike, while the Saris Freedom and InnoTire Hold have a weight capacity of 60lbs per bike. Out of these 4 bike racks, I would say Saris Freedom Bike Rack for 2 bikes # SA4412B is the winner. This is not only because the impressive weight capacity that the Saris Freedom has, but also because it is a frame-mount rack whereas the Inno Tire is a wheel-mount rack. Frame-mount bike racks like the Saris Freedom can typically accommodate a larger variety of bikes due to the fact that it secures the bike by the frame, so you can haul bikes with fenders and baskets without any interference. The Saris Freedom also comes with an anti-rattle hitch pin that will reduce wobble and vibration.
