Hitch And One Bike Platform Rack For 2017 Volkswagen Passat

Greetings, I dont know the terminology, but heres what I want: A hitch and SINGLE BIKE PLATFORM CARRIER that attaches to the hitch. That seems simple enough to me but the more Web sites I visit, the greater my confusion. Please tell me what I need so I can buy it and get on with the show. I have a 4-bike Yakima truck mount that was quite expensive and I have nothing good to say about it. I want a hitch with platform carrier that simply slides onto the hitch, enabling me to lift my bicyle - a Sirrus Specialized Elite weighing 26 pounds - up about a foot or two at which point I can position it on a ONE BIKE PLATFORM CARRIER, secure it - and go. Please help. I am an anxious customer. Thank you!

First things first, I recommend getting a 2 inch hitch receiver for your 2017 Volkswagen Passat. This EcoHitch # 306-X7317 will work! This hitch comes with all the hardware you need to get it installed. The hardware will come with this hitch, there is nothing else needed. I really Like the Kuat Transfer V2 # KU64FR. It's SUPER simple to use and is a very solid rack. You will be loaded up and ready to ride in a couple seconds. This rack comes with everything needed to install inside the hitch. It slides in, you put the included hitch pin through and tighten it down with the included tool.

This is everything you need to get the hitch and bike rack installed. Nothing else is needed for these components to function together.
