Can the Hollywood Sport Rider SE2 be Upgraded to Handle Heavier Bikes
Question:
I already have a Hollywood se2 bike rack. I now have fat tire e bikes that weigh 55lbs with no batteries. Can I simply buy the fat tire add on kit for my existing rack? I plan on putting two on the one rack. I know the bike gives max of 50lbs per bike but the se says 80lbs per bike. Are they built different. Don’t want to buy a entire rack if I don’t have to.

It sounds like you have the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE2, part # HR1450Z. This bike rack does have a weight limit of 50 pounds per bike. There is nothing that can be changed that will increase the weight capacity of this rack.
To carry your newer fat tire e-bikes, the only thing you can do is upgrade to the Sport Rider SE Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes, part # HLY84FR. This can carry e-bikes up to 80 pounds each and can handle fat tires as well.
I've linked to a video review of this rack for you to look at.
