Brake Controller Recommendation for 2014 Chevy Traverse

Question:

Hi, For my 2014 Traverse with the factory rear trailer connector, I am going to buy your part number - 118271 T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness for Factory Tow Package - 7-Way Trailer Connector. I already installed a trailer hitch that I bought from you. I believe I will rarely tow a trailer, and when I do it will probably be a rental from U-Haul. I believe I should have a proportional brake controller to be prepared for some circumstances. I have checked under the dashboard beneath the steering wheel and Ive seen that I have the factory connector there for a hardwired brake controller. Im having difficulty deciding between the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller and the Curt Echo Wireless Trailer Brake Controller. I am open to any suggestions you may have for these and any others you sell. There are a few bad reviews of the Curt on your site and a significant number on Amazon that talk about total failures of the Echo. I have seen the installation video you posted for installing the P3 in the Traverse, so I know it can be properly mounted. Thank you in advance.

The Curt Echo Mobile part # C51180 is super convenient and has had a few revisions to make it more reliable and better performing but the Prodigy P3 part # 90195 is basically the gold standard of brake controller due to how incredibly great it works and how reliable it is.

For what you are wanting and the concerns you mentioned the P3 with the install harness part # 3026-P would definitely be the way to go.
